There is an energy
Within our beings
No matter our age
Which longs to connect
Longs to be seen
Heard
Accepted
Consciously
Unconsciously
Always
Wanting to be
A part of something
Beyond just one body
One moment
In time
Something
Much grander
Divine
Shaping this experience
Driving us toward
One another
Toward a holy union
And yet
We have learned to turn away
From one another
From ourselves
We were not born this way
On the contrary
We were born turned
Right side up
Ignited by a flame
Our hearts burning with life
Eyes glistening
Ready to be taken in
Ready to align
Ready to be reflected in the image of
Another
Yet somewhere
Along the way
Many of us were
Turned upside down
Our flame diminished
Our hearts turned cold
Closed off
Our minds turned fearful
Questioning
Our spirits
Shutdown
Stuck behind sealed doors
Waiting
This innocent child
Facing inward
Toward a distant world
Separated by a body
No longer willing to feel
And yet
Sensing a calling
Pulsing with an energy of
Wanting
Longing
Connection
For another
With oneself
Going through the motions
Of an everyday life
Showing up
Getting it done
Wandering
Wondering
What am I missing
Where should I be
Why do I feel
So alone
What would it be like
If we could pick up our heads
Straighten our spines
Plant our feet
Firmly on the ground
Breathe a new breath
Close our eyes
Reach deep down to our hearts
Touch that child within and whisper

I am you
Take my hand
As together
We move forward
Back in the direction
You started upon
The day you were born
I am sorry

But I am here now

Displaying a heart on fire
A body
Courageous
Strong

Protected by a shield of self awareness
Impenetrable to fear
Doubt
Shame
Judgment
That is the intent of our birth
To serve
Ourselves
One another
From a place
Of splendid rapport
From a place of curiosity
Willingness
Honesty
Vulnerability
Humility
Truth
Together lets walk
The path that lies ahead
With faith
Possibility
Grace

The ONE we were meant to BE
So that others
May reflect the same
May stand in the awareness that they too
Can wake up

More clearly
Than ever before
As the child they were born to be
As the child they still are

The child filled with light
Pristine
Untouched
True
The child ready
Waiting
To be held again
So that the energy can build
So that life can be expressed
